My blog always seems to be forgotten this time of year. I still haven't gotten good at adjusting from summer to the start of school. Once the school year gets rolling I manage much better! It's October and I'm just starting to get settle back into my old routines!
I really enjoyed last weekend with my family (and Katie)............
Friday night I got to watch a movie with the Bondurants (ok...I fell asleep and didn't finish the movie). But I did get up and made breakfast early Saturday morning with the boys!!! My Dad used to make us pancakes with our initials and random shapes that we requested...............thus......I tried to impress the nephews. Two of the boys got "egg in a hole", but the hole was their initial. The toast piece looked much better than the egg. The middle child helped me make his french toast. He wanted me to cut a "G" into his.....but we couldn't seem to come to an agreement. They all ate the breakfast!!!
After breakfast I hurried to Astoria and was able to catch most of my youngest brother's soccer game. I'm a little embarrassed to say, I think it's the first soccer game of his that I've watched. He had a few good touches. In true Coast fashion........it was raining and we watched the game from the comfort of the mini van.
My Mom and I met my sister Brooke for some Costco lunch (yummy). After lunch we spent some quality card-making time at the Schauermann's, Anya joined us and made a beautiful card. We ended the evening going out to the movies...totally inappropriate movie, but darn funny.
Crashed at Brooke and Danny's house...(thanks). Gateway Church service in the morning and back to the valley I went. Had lunch with Erin and Jake (cute newlyweds they are!!!). Lastly............stopped in Stayton and made earrings with Katie. Next time I make earrings I'll keep in mind the amount of weight........mine are a little heavy on the ears.
Wonderful Weekend! I'm blessed to have soo many wonderful people in my life.
