Why don't we have an official language? And way to go for liking vanilla...people claim it's the "nothing" flavor, but it's not. Vanilla IS the flavor, and it's a great one!

More self control than I have!
Lindsey- We don't have an official language because America was/is a melting pot where people could come from their native land and be free. Because we don't have an official language children from other countries are given services to learn English (something that possibly would vanish if we said, "English only!"). Not having an official language in the US is a positive thing for young children.
